Keynote address at PLSE2015

CIES Director of Research, Scientia Professor Mark Bradford, presents keynote address at Second International Conference on Performance-based and Life-cycle Structural Engineering (PLSE 2015), Brisbane, December 2015

Scientia Professor Mark Bradford presented a keynote address entitled "Performance of bolted connections in deconstructable composite frames". The paper was co-authored by Drs Reza Ataei, Xinpei Liu and Hamid Valipour, all from CIES.

The PLSE conference series commenced in Hong Kong in 2012, which attracted more than 300 delegates in this new and most important area of research and practice. PLSE 2015 continued this success by providing an international forum for scientific exchanges in performance-based, and lifecycle structural engineering and related topics. Full integration of these topics offers an exciting new direction for structural engineering within the context of sustainable urban development, and is a core theme within CIES.

The conference was hosted at Brisbane's South Bank and was hosted by The University of Queensland and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
